What To Watch This Weekend: Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Smite, And Hearthstone

This week, as several ongoing major esports tournaments vye for our attention, we bid farewell to one of the greatest competitive games in recent history.

Though Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite is just days away, we still have at least one major Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 tournament this weekend: The Curleh Finale. Throughout the year several tournaments have acted as qualifiers for this event, meaning everyone here is among the best of the best. This should make for a fantastic send-off to one the longest-running competitive fighting games of the modern age. (Stream and Schedule)

This week's big Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament is the ESL One New York, which will have teams facing off in the Big Apples for their share of $250,000. (Stream / Schedule)

The event will also host the Street Fighter V Brooklyn Beatdown, which invites top players to compete on the same stage for a shot at a first-place prize of $20,000. (Stream / Schedule)

For more fighting game action, make sure to watch the OZHadou Nationals, which will also have tournaments for Tekken 7, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, and more. (Stream / Schedule)

Finally for some Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and Melee action, check out Smash The Record. (Streams / Schedule)

The Overwatch Contenders' first season is in its fifth week, which means we don't know exactly who will be in the playoffs, but favorites are definitely starting to show. (Stream and Schedule)

The Hearthstone HCT Summer Americas Regional playoffs will determine which players from that region will have the honor to enter the Summer Championship next months (since October is still summer, I guess?) (Stream / Schedule)

The Smite Pro League enters its second week, and while some teams are looking better than others, no team has definitive lead. (Stream / Schedule)

The Rocket League Championship series continues this week, so make sure to catch some of the best teams in Europe and North America radio-control cars like you've never seen. (Stream / Schedule)
